Lee Ashforth has wasted no time in on-field recruitment so far this Summer with eleven signings made.
Ben Bodle, Harry Parsons, Luke Rhodes, Joe Mitchell, Lewis Sugden and Luke Wilson have joined from rivals Thackley AFC, with defenders Bodle and Rhodes returning for their second spells at the club.
Prolific forwards Gracjan Klimczak and Jakub Hebda have joined from Nostell Miners Welfare and Padiham respectively. Klimczak scored 23 goals in Division One for Nostell MW last season, and Hebda scored 17 goals for Padiham in the NWCFL Premier Division.
Wingers Ewan Gregson and Jack Normanton have also returned to the club for their second spells. Gregson impressed for the club last season where he scored 11 goals in 18 appearances.
Full-back Max Dickinson has also rejoined the club from Guiseley AFC. Max joined the club towards the end of last season and was consistently outstanding at left back.
Former Eccleshill United, Thackley and Liversedge manager Sean Regan has been appointed as joint-manager alongside Lee Ashforth for the forthcoming 2025/26 season.
Campion AFC is proud to announce the appointment of Richard Helliwell as the club’s new Chairman, succeeding Robert (Bob) Stead, who moves into the role of Vice President after 5 years of outstanding service and leadership.
Richard is a highly respected figure in the local business community, serving as Managing Director of TIB Accountancy Services, located near the Chain Bar roundabout at the M606/M62 intersection. A long-standing supporter of Campion, Richard has been closely involved with the club for over 15 years as a valued sponsor and advertiser, consistently championing its growth both on and off the pitch.
James Bicknell, Campion’s Director of Football, commented:
“Richard brings a no-nonsense, business-focused approach to the Boardroom. He’s been a major contributor to the club for many years, and he shares our collective ambition to push Campion further up the football pyramid.”
On his appointment, Richard said:
“I’ve been proud to support Campion for the past 15 years, and I was genuinely honoured to be asked to step into the role of Chairman. I’m passionate about the club’s future and excited to play a part in its continued development.”
Andrew Shepherd, Club Treasurer, added:
“I’ve known Richard for a number of years and have always admired his ability to get things done with minimum fuss. When we discussed the idea of hosting business networking events at the clubhouse, Richard drew up a detailed plan over the weekend. That vision became the 1963 Club, which has already hosted two successful events, attracting over 80 attendees and receiving strong support from our loyal ambassadors, Dominic and Jess Matteo.”
Campion AFC is confident that this strategic leadership transition will strengthen the club’s foundations and open up new opportunities as it continues to build on recent successes, both on the field and within the wider community.
Campion AFC are delighted to welcome Calum Cullen as our new CEO.

As CEO, Calum will be focused on driving the club forward — bringing in new sponsors, introducing fresh ideas, and helping to improve all areas of the club both on and off the pitch.
“I am honored to take on the role of CEO at Campion and I’m absolutely buzzing to be back in Bradford,” said Calum. “This club has really been on the up recently, and my goal is to build on that foundation by increasing matchday attendance, generating new revenue streams, and forging stronger relationships with the local community and businesses.”
