Campion AFC are delighted to announce that the club has been awarded the Premier Division Team of the Month for February 2026 by the Northern Counties East Football League.

The award recognises an excellent run of form throughout February, with the team producing a series of strong performances as the push towards the end of the season continues. It is a fantastic achievement for everyone connected with the football club and a reflection of the hard work, commitment and togetherness shown both on and off the pitch.

While the season did not begin in the way the club had hoped, with results in the early months falling below the standards that have been set at Campion, the response from the entire club has been outstanding. Over recent weeks the team has rediscovered its rhythm and momentum, putting together an impressive run of results that has firmly placed Campion in the conversation for the play-off places.

Credit must go first and foremost to the players, whose dedication, professionalism and desire to improve week after week has been clear for all to see. Their performances have demonstrated the quality within the squad and the determination to compete at the highest level in the division.

The club would also like to recognise the tireless efforts of the management team and coaching staff, who have worked relentlessly behind the scenes to guide the squad through a challenging start to the campaign and help drive the current run of form. Their leadership, preparation and belief in the group have been instrumental in the progress made in recent months.

Beyond the pitch, the award is also a testament to the work carried out by the club’s committee members, volunteers and staff who play such a vital role in ensuring that Campion continues to operate at a high standard. Non-league football simply does not function without the dedication of those who give up their time week in, week out, and this recognition is as much theirs as it is the players’.

As the season enters a crucial stage, the focus now turns to maintaining this momentum during what promises to be a pivotal few weeks in the campaign. With the play-off race intensifying, every game carries huge importance, but the unity and belief throughout the club remains stronger than ever.
