Sonny has been a key player since his arrival in November from Emley AFC, making 25 appearances and scoring 4 goals from midfield. His energy, technical ability and composure have made him a standout performer in the middle of the park.

Having gained valuable experience at higher levels with clubs such as Hyde United, Bradford (Park Avenue) and Emley AFC, Sonny brings both quality and ambition to the squad as the club prepares for another campaign in the NCEL Premier Division.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Sonny said:
"I’ve really enjoyed my time here since joining in November. The club is going in a great direction and there’s a real togetherness in the squad. I feel like I’ve still got a lot to prove, and Campion is the perfect place for me to do that. I’m excited for what’s to come this season and I’m fully focused on helping the team push on."

Manager Lee Ashforth also expressed his delight at securing his second key signing of the off-season, following the recent extension of record goalscorer Paddy Sykes:
"Sonny was a big player for us last season and someone we were really keen to keep hold of. He brings quality, work rate and experience from higher levels, which is invaluable for us. To secure him early is a big boost."

Ashforth also hinted at further additions to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign:
"We’re building something strong here and there’s still plenty more to come. We’re working hard behind the scenes to bring in players who will improve us and add competition across the squad. It’s an exciting time for the club."
