TEAM UPDATE | Chinedu Osadebe

Sheridann Dickerson23 Feb - 15:16

Former Bradford (Park Avenue) and Farsley Celtic forward joins Campion.

Campion AFC are delighted to announce the signing of forward Chinedu Osadebe from Wombwell Town.

The 26-year-old has previously represented Farsley Celtic, Bradford Park Avenue and Pontefract Collieries, adding valuable experience and attacking quality to the Campion frontline at a crucial stage of the season.

Commercial & Media Manager Sheridann Dickerson commented:

“I have previously worked with Chinedu and I know the quality he can bring to an already impressive attack. He’s a great character and will be brilliant in the changing rooms. I can’t wait to see Chinedu in a Campion shirt.”

Chinedu Osadebe added:

“When I got the call from the gaffer and we spoke about the aspirations for me it was an easy decision. I’m fully focused on doing my part to getting the goal the recent results can show which is promotion. The fans can expect goals, excitement, hard work and willingness to win.”

First Team Manager Lee Ashforth said:

“We are delighted to welcome Chinedu Osadebe to the club and are pleased to add another quality option to our squad at this important stage of the season. Chinedu joins us as we enter a crucial period, and we believe he will be a valuable addition both on and off the pitch.

With eight league fixtures still to play and a cup semi-final to look forward to, we felt this was the right time to strengthen the group and provide the squad with additional depth and competition. The demands of the schedule mean games are coming in quick succession, and it is vital that we have a strong, competitive structure in place to maintain performance levels across all competitions.

We are confident that this addition will support our push towards the business end of the season and help ensure we remain competitive in every match as we look to finish the campaign strongly.”

Bradford City supporters may recognise the surname — Chinedu’s brother, Emmanuel Osadebe, previously represented the Bantams and now plays for Barnet in EFL League Two.

The signing is subject to league approval, and we hope Osadebe will be in contention to make his debut on Tuesday evening away at Barton Town.

Welcome to Campion, Chinedu.
