In the first of our "Volunteer Spotlight" series, we focus on someone who truly is considered "One Of Our Own".
When people speak about the heart and soul of Campion AFC, the name Robert ‘Bob’ Stead is always mentioned.
Bob has been involved with the club for more than thirty years. In that time, he has fulfilled just about every role imaginable at Campion - Reserve Team Manager, Club Secretary, Physio, Chairman, and now the man responsible for maintaining the playing surface at the Anytime Couriers Stadium.
Quite simply, Bob lives and breathes Campion AFC.
After stepping down as chairman and handing the reins over to Richard Helliwell, Bob’s dedication to the club never wavered. In fact, he now spends countless hours every day at the club, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

His work on the pitch is nothing short of outstanding. Whatever the weather, Bob takes enormous pride in ensuring the surface at the Anytime Couriers Stadium is in prime condition, and the effort and care he puts in does not go unnoticed.
Volunteers like Bob are the backbone of non-league football, and we honestly do not know where the club would be without him.
Everyone at Campion AFC would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Bob for his incredible dedication, loyalty and service over the years.
Thank you, Bob.
