MATCH PREVIEW | CAMPION AFC vs PENISTONE CHURCH
Saturday 25th October 2025
Anytime Couriers Stadium
3:00pm Kick-Off
NCEL Premier Division
Campion AFC return to NCEL Premier Division action this weekend as they welcome Penistone Church to the Anytime Couriers Stadium, looking to reignite their season after a difficult run of results.
The home side come into the fixture on the back of four consecutive defeats in all competitions, a run that has seen them slip to 15th in the table. Despite recent setbacks, performances have shown glimpses of promise — and with a renewed sense of determination in the camp, Campion will be eager to deliver a response in front of their supporters.
Manager Lee Ashforth will be encouraged by a number of new arrivals, with Lewis Cunningham, Kai Phillip, and Lewis Waddington all joining the squad in recent days, adding quality, depth, and competition for places as the team looks to turn their form around.
Visitors Penistone Church, meanwhile, make the short trip from South Yorkshire sitting 8th in the division. Although they’ve won just one of their last five outings in all competitions, they remain a well-organised and dangerous side capable of punishing any lapses in concentration.
With both teams keen to rediscover consistency, Saturday’s encounter promises to be a fiercely competitive one — and Campion will be hoping home advantage and the backing of the supporters can make the difference.
