Tense Night for Campion as First XI Progress

After months of anticipation last night finally saw the Campion First XI and Development Squads clash in the District Cup Semi-Final.

A tight game saw the Development Squad take an early lead through a Sadio Barry and dominate the first period. But the second half saw the First Team get back into the game and eventually achieve a deserved break through from an own goal.

The tie was ultimately decided on penalties where the first team nerves held as the first two Development team spot kicks were saved by goalkeeper Ivan Willis to ensure passage through to a final against Fields AFC.
